User interface > Debugging and executing > Choosing a source text
The text in the input window is the source text, which shall be analyzed and transformed.
Normally a source file will be loaded from the hard disk, but for testing it is also possible, to write a text directly into the source window. Instead of the whole text also a part can be chosen for a transformation.
Open a source file
You cam open a text file by the menu: file->open, of, if the text had been opened once before, you can reload it by choosing it from the list in the menu: file->reopen source.
It is important, that the source window is active (blinking cursor in this window), other wise the text will appear in a wrong window.
Choosing a part of the text
The section of text, which will be transformed, depends on the actual state of the program and on the choice of the user. In the options for the user interface can be set, that a transformation shall begin always at the beginning of the input text, or if other possibilities shall be allowed too. There are the following possibilities:
Transform the whole text Transform the marked section of text Transform the text beginning at the last start position again Transform the text beginning at the position of the last recognized token Transform the text beginning at the actual cursor position
